Could that be? Perfect pizza without sauce and gluten free? YES! Take a look.
Like most everyone else, we love pizza. For a long time, after we went gluten free, it just wasn't the same. My kids would ask for pizza and I didn't want to make it because all the gluten free recipes just weren't that good. When we did have gluten, our favorite was to make our pizza on top off homemade focaccia bread. Oh it was sooooo good! That is the perfect gluten pizza. This is slightly similar to focaccia bread if you use a sour dough starter like I did and make a thicker crust. I've finally came up with a recipe that we like the taste of and I feel good about the ingredients. No extra sugars and starches and gums. Just real food that doesn't require a factory.
Have you ever had lamb? This is the first leg of lamb I ever cooked. It was absolutely delicious. The most tender meat I have ever had and there is not one thing I would have changed about the flavor. It is now my families favorite meat!
Well we have made it past the average frost date of Sept 20th. We actually made it TWO weeks past that. That is quite amazing! Thank you Lord for the extra time! This is only the second time we even made it to the average frost date. Normally we get a frost by the end of the first week in September. See, quite amazing!
We had a run of a few cool days and it put me in the mood for soup. I've always been a fan of soup. Anything that goes well with fresh bread slabbed with fresh butter is going to be a winner in my book. I don't know if I like the bread and butter or the soup better. Maybe that's why they go so well together- no need to choose!
Well I have finally found a way to get my husband to eat beets. He now eats beets chips and asks for more! I have to say these are truly scrumptious. Frying them takes away that slight dirt like flavor beets are known for and replaces it with a slightly sweet flavor.
We also made chips out of the greens but beware. The greens cause the oil to pop and splatter. The kids love them but mom can only take so much of that so we don't do to many of the greens.
