Yippy! The gardens are recovering and have started to really produce after all the hail! Yes, it put us behind but we are grateful for what has recovered and so are our CSA members!
This is a picture of a small share basket. Same items as a large share only in smaller quantities. The picture below shows the baskets all loaded up. The flowers didn't quite fit but who wants to miss out on fresh flowers?
We also offer eggs from chickens who are fed an organic diet and free range. The eggs can be purchased on their own or added to CSA baskets as an add on item. I guess it would be a good time to remind everyone that we still have a few lambs left too. Grass fed and finished. They will be ready for butcher late this fall. Ever time I see a recipe for lamb I get excited.
I love how colorful these baskets turned out. The larger variety of vegetable colors you have in your diet the larger variety of nutrients you get in your diet. Not only beautiful but super healthy!
More to Come!
We are also looking forward to the celery. It is so tender and crisp. It looks a bit funny all bundled up for blanching. I'll be posting on that process soon.
Thanks be to God!
