Yes! You can grow mushrooms right in your garden! No logs or plugs needed! So exciting, so exciting, I know, and it is easy! Well this is my first go at it to be honest, but so far it is going great. Come this fall we are going to have some mushrooms straight from our garden and you can too!
How to Grow Mushrooms in Your Garden
We have been wanting to try this for several years and here we are finally getting to it. You have any projects like that? I thought so. Wink, wink. Now that we have got this first system set up with wine cap mushrooms, we are bitting at the bit to try another variety.
Wine cap mushroom are the easiest to grow in a garden setting and they only require a few supplies.
I purchased our mushroom spawn from Field and Forest. They have a wide selection and great customer service.
The video may take a few seconds to load but hang in there, it's worth it!
Another fairly easy variety to grow in your garden is Almond Agaricus. This is the variety we will be trying next. These heat loving mushrooms grow quicker than wine caps so you can expect your first flush after only a few weeks!
So which one will you try first? Let me know in the comment section below or tell me if there are any other mushrooms you've grown.
Happy planting friends!
