Today marks the first CSA basket of the season. We had a lot of fun putting together the baskets and getting them delivered. It is so nice to see everyone's grateful faces and hear the encouraging words after many months of labor!
The first baskets included:
Red Russian Kale Little Finger Carrots Rouge D' Hiver Lettuce Red Flame Lettuce Buttercrunch Lettuce Little Gem Lettuce Bull's Blood Beets Yellow Multiplier Onions Northern White Garlic Spinach Cilantro Dill Chives Tarragon
A small share basket for week one.
The Large share basket included all of the same items but in larger quantities. As the season progresses the variety will increase and members will have the opportunity to do some selecting of the items that are in their basket each week.
I hope everyone enjoys their CSA Baskets this week! Happy, healthy, eating!
P.S. If you enjoyed this post then consider signing up for our monthly-ish (I'm a busy mama of 7 kiddos!) newsletter. It' will keep you up to date on new blog post, GMO news, recipes, you know, all that kind of good stuff.
